Lions, it has been the most challenging season yet but we have learned a lot and look forward to 2011 with great optimism....taking the challenges of 2010 and using them for positive growth within the

Charles Co. Lions Family.

Some will be leaving us and new people will join us. We congratulate

Zack Lohr and Derrick Manning, who will be continuing their football career at the college level!

Our Cheer/Dance team will be under the classy leadership of Tiara Lindsey and we look forward to seeing her expertise at work!

In Loving Memory of

Joseph Ray Burgess

You will be very missed, Joe...

Joe was one of the Lion’s biggest fans, attending many practices and most games, even traveling great distances to be there. He filmed most of our games for us and planned on playing for the team this year. Joe came to the Lion’s cookout and we played Spades until late into the night on a Saturday night. I have this wonderful image in my mind of Joe standing next to me on the sideline at the Bullsharks game in New Jersey with the camera up and him laughing at something that had happened on the field. What a great smile he had...... It is horribly tragic that he was killed while trying to do the right thing, but that is who he was...... we will miss him very much....
